It has the highest yield potential and one of the highest feeding values of all adapted perennial forage legumes. It has high protein and calcium content and a highly digestible fiber. The anaerobic fermentation allows Alfalfa to retain high nutrient levels similar to those of fresh forage. Alfalfa Hay
Alfalfa farming is the archetype of the “ecological pause” promoted by the Grenelle Environmental Forum for its ability to improve the soil (large and deep root mass, making it resistant to drought) and its contribution to organic matter.
It is a leguminous plant with the ability to bind atmospheric nitrogen in its organic form, preventing it from reaching the water table. Its cultivation reduces synthetic nitrogen levels by three.
Alfalfa is renowned for its high protein content which is optimally suited to promote muscle mass in beef cattle or to increase the production of dairy cows. It is also rich in carotene and minerals.
The conditions for establishing alfalfa cultivation are contracted for 4 years between farmers and DOULIERE HAY FRANCE. The seeds used are selected and guaranteed non-GMO and are well-suited to regional climatic conditions (seed dormancy of 5 to 7). The harvests are managed by specialized companies with high-performance equipment to avoid sugar degradation (up to 16% when drying is slow) and the loss of protein-rich leaves, up to 20% for alfalfa.
Moisture readings are taken at each step, from production to storage. Batches that don’t meet quality standards are listed and downgraded. A sample is taken on each batch and analyzed by a certified laboratory. This information guarantees the precision of your rations.
The two main products made from Alfalfa:
Alfalfa Hay
High-quality forage from the most meticulous producers, its value is found in its leaves which are very sensitive to high temperatures and excessive humidity.
Dehydrated alfalfa
Contains calcium, easily assimilated phosphorous, magnesium, potassium, and a variety of trace elements. Plays a role in regulating rumen function and as a buffer substance. Many benefits for conserving and preserving the nutritional qualities of the fresh plant, and for consumption.

Hay suitable for:
Bale the alfalfa quickly at optimum moisture levels
Alfalfa destined for hay should be raked or merged at 40 to 60 percent moisture to minimize leaf loss. On the average, 78 percent of alfalfa cut reaches livestock in the U.S. The remaining 22 percent is lost during mowing, raking, baling and storage. These losses of hay volume and quality are costly.3
Nutritional properties :
Alfalfa is the richest in proteins and calcium per kg of dry matter of the fibrous forages. Its nitrogen content allow the safety of your rations without concentrating them.
It is imperative to rectify it in energy on the basic ration, by a cereal or a feed. Its mineralizing qualities are appreciated for its important quantities of iron, calcium and potassium. Its examplary calcium levels has the advantage of limiting therisks of acidosis.
We recommend her quite particularly for the subjects with arthritic trend or subject to the rheumatisms. But also to avoid the muscule sprains and the cramps and in case of important physical exertion.
Moreover, alfalfa allows to lower lipid content in the blood. Its content in beta-carotenes used by the body as the pro-vitamin A, precursory of vitamin A, favorites the fertility of brood mares and strengthens the immune systems of mares in particular in the fight against mammites.

CHC Douliere Hay France bales are calibrated, compressed, palletized and filmed.
Our different bales formats are bound using polyane string. Palletizing under film or netting.
This new product is delivered to you on a pallet of 24 to 48 bales by 27t truck or 40 ″ 27t container.
CHC Bales : Calibrated High Compression Bales
► CHC bales of 40x45x50 cm weighing 30 or 40 kg
► Nano CHC bales of 50x40x30 cm weighing 25 kg
Control:
At each stage, from production to storage, are practiced hydrometric controls. The lots that do not meet quality criteria are listed and downgraded. A sampling is carried out on each batch and analyzed by a certified laboratory. These data guarantee the accuracy of your rations.
Advantages of HCC Bales ★★★★★ :
► Space savings and storage by two.
► Ease of handling thanks to a small size.
► Nutrient preservation guarantee : compression reduces hay oxidation by expelling the air.
► Assimilation improvement compacted slices require more bites and more salivation, in favor of a slower digestion.
► Feeling of grazing recovered.
For horses:
► Ease of distribution : for a 450 kg horse = 2 or 3 kg of Alfalfa/day as a complement.
► Entertainment in box.
For milk cows, sheeps and goats:
► Ease of distribution : 2 – 3 kg of Alfalfa/day in 2 meals.
► Feeling of grazing recovered.
For poultries
► Assimilation improvement, compacted bales stimulate the natural pecking.
